The Crows will host Sydney in the Club’s first-ever game at Adelaide Oval on Saturday, April 5.
The much-anticipated Round Three clash will see former Crow Kurt Tippett return to town for the first time as a Swan. He will be accompanied in the red and white by high-profile offseason recruit Lance Franklin. The game will start at 1:40pm (local time).

It will be Adelaide’s first home match of the season after being away to Geelong and Port Adelaide in the opening two rounds. The Crows will kick off their season against the Cats at Simonds Stadium on Thursday, March 20.
The season-opener will be one of two Thursday night games featuring Adelaide in 2014. The Club’s second Thursday night clash is a blockbuster against Collingwood at Adelaide Oval in Round Nine. The match, which starts at 7:20pm (local time) on May 15, will be broadcast nationally on Channel 7.
As well as hosting the Pies under lights, the Crows play another three night games at Adelaide Oval, including monster matches against reigning premiers Hawthorn and a resurgent Richmond.

Collingwood and Port Adelaide are the only top-eight teams of 2013 the Crows play twice.
The first Showdown will be played as a twilight game (4:10pm local) on Saturday, March 29. Adelaide’s ‘home’ Showdown is a Sunday (June 29) twilight fixture in Round 15. Adelaide’s other ‘double-up’ games are against North Melbourne, St Kilda and Greater Western Sydney.
After playing three 2013 finalists in the first three rounds, Adelaide will play non-finalists St Kilda, GWS, Western Bulldogs and Melbourne in the month leading up to the Club’s first bye in Round Eight. The second bye, which has been introduced in 2014, is in July between Rounds 17 and 18.
The Crows don’t travel further than Victoria in the first 11 rounds, but have one trip each to Perth (Fremantle), Brisbane (Lions), Western Sydney (GWS) and Hobart (North Melbourne) in the second half of the season.
Adelaide will finish the season at home to St Kilda on a day/time to be determined by the AFL.
The AFL has also announced the fixture for the new-look NAB Challenge, with the Crows to play Port and Carlton in February
