Crows midfielder Zac Taylor has been placed in the AFL’s concussion protocol and will be unavailable for selection this weekend.

Taylor suffered a concussion in Friday’s SANFL trial game against Woodville-West Torrens.

Key forward Taylor Walker returned from a back injury and kicked two goals in Friday night’s game against Geelong.

“Pleasingly we got through Friday night’s game against the Cats unscathed, as we all saw, Tex moved around pretty well and got through the game and will be available this weekend,” High Performance Manager Darren Burgess said.

“The only issue that came out of the weekend was in the SANFL trial earlier on the Friday when Zac Taylor suffered a concussion.

“He’s in good spirits but will be in the concussion protocols and our doctors will monitor him and let us know when he can start training and hopefully come back to play as soon as possible.”
